2023 Fall Sports Recap

With the fall sports season complete, the Knights have much to celebrate! Student athletes gave it their all and represented Episcopal well. Congratulations to everyone on a great season! Cross Country State Champs!
The girls cross country team won the LHSAA Division III state championship, finishing with four runners in the top 10. Congratulations to Neva Lambert, the Individual State Runner-Up, Ada Mere, Sara Beth Cagley, Lauren Bradford, Rebekah Reid, Anna Kate Yale and Katie Grassman! A big congratulations to Ada Mere and Neva Lambert for earning a spot on the 2023 All-State Composite Cross Country Team!
Congratulations to the boys cross country team! The boys had a strong third place finish at the state championship. The boys team returns all but two senior runners who competed in post-season races.
Swimming
The Episcopal swimmers had a terrific state meet, with the girls celebrating an impressive Runner-Up title. In addition, junior Rylee Simoneaux was named the Swimmer of the State Meet. Congratulations also to the boys team, who finished fifth.

Football
This football season has been one for the highlight reels! The Knights earned impressive victories, and numerous individuals put up personal bests. After a win against Martin Luther King Charter School in the opening round of the playoffs and a victory on the road versus Bunkie High School in the second round, the Knights fell to Newman in the quarterfinals. The team finished the season with a record of 10-3 and much to celebrate.
1st Team All-District - Alden Romano - K, Ethan Ott - DL, Chase Cresson - LB, Will Ribes - DB, Will York - OL, Matthew Boagni - OL, Braeden George - RB, Reid Chauvin - RB
2nd Team All-District - Alden Romano - P, John Brady Sessums - DL, Walker Dauzat - LB, Taj Callahan - LB, Nathan Sanchez - DB, Zach Hu - QB
Honorable Mention All-District - Kareem Badawi, Brody Bailey, TJ Callahan, Neff Neumann, James Thom
Additionally, both Braden George and Ethan Ott were invited to play for the Patriots in the 2023 Red Stick Senior Bowl.
Volleyball
The volleyball team fought hard all season, including big wins versus Walker, Liberty,West Feliciana and Zachary. They earned a spot in LHSAA volleyball state playoffs, but fell in the first round to Lutcher. Two players, Morgan Netterville (Sr) and Anna Kurz (Fr) earned spots on the 6-AA All -District 1st team while Reece Hinton (So) was named Honorable Mention this year for the Knights!
Esports
Upper School Knight Gaming just completed the fall season, earning the top spot in the LHSAA Fall Exhibition with a 6-1 record. Students now look forward to the spring season, including a post-season tournament to determine the state champion.
The Middle School team also wrapped up their fall season and looks forward to spring competition.
