Episcopal is the leading independent private school in Baton Rouge for children in grades PreK-3 through 12. Our admission team works hard to attract diverse, multi-talented students who graduate as self-sustaining learners and engaged global citizens with a thirst for knowledge and a desire to give back to their community.
At Episcopal, you will find an engaged student body, seeking to understand more about themselves and the world around them. Students are challenged to reach beyond their comfort zone academically, athletically, and socially. Each student receives constant individualized support throughout his or her Episcopal School of Baton Rouge experience. Our faculty is dedicated to overall student developmental and academic success. The Mastery approach allows teachers to provide students the ability to gain complete comprehensive and critical academic aptitude of each subject.

Ready to Apply?
When you are ready to begin the application process, complete Episcopal's online application for admission and submit the $125 application fee*. Once your child's application is submitted, you will have access to an interactive admission checklist tailored for your child's grade. While applications are accepted year-round, the Admission Office recommends prospective families submit an application for admission the fall preceding the year of intended enrollment. For example, if you wish to apply for the 2024-2025 school year, an application should be submitted between August 2023 and the application deadline. The remaining steps necessary to complete the admission process are outlined on the Admission Process page.
*Application fee is waived for children of Episcopal alumni.

As a ministry of the Episcopal Diocese of Louisiana, Episcopal School of Baton Rouge nurtures and develops the whole child - spiritually, intellectually, morally, physically, and artistically - through challenging academic and co-curricular programs which prepare our graduates for college and purposeful lives. Our students benefit from a cohesive and collaborative PreK-3 to 12th grade Episcopalian education, the only of its kind in Baton Rouge. As a school community, we celebrate different cultures, races, and perspectives, and we seek to enroll students with varying strengths and interests.
