Madeline Blanchard-Gugich is a 2010 graduate of LSU and holds a B.S. in Human Sciences and Education with a minor in Kinesiology.  She is certified to teach kindergarten through 12th grade in Health and Physical Education.  Before joining the Knights, Madeline was the Physical Education Teacher, Head Volleyball Coach and Head Tennis Coach at Zachary High School for six years.  Before working at Zachary, Madeline accepted a position out of college at McKinley Middle Magnet School as Physical Education Teacher, Assistant Basketball Coach, and administering the Fitness gram and NFL Play 60 programs.  As a student at LSU, she was a member of Kappa Delta (KD) Sorority and the Kinesiology Club. Madeline is a 2004 Graduate of Bishop Sullivan High School (aka St. Michael the Archangel) where she lettered four years in both volleyball and tennis. Also, she was hired as an LHSAA Assistant Volleyball coach for St. Michael High School for five years after graduating. In addition to playing high school volleyball, Madeline played club volleyball for four years and coached club volleyball for five years. As a graduate of St. Thomas More Elementary School (STM), Madeline coached the CSAL 7th-grade volleyball team for four years and coached Our Lady of Mercy Volleyball Team for one year.

Madeline was a Volleyball referee for LHSAA High School for two years and was a lifeguard with Catholic Life Center (Aquatic Club) for five years.  Madeline holds the position of Vice-President of La. Volleyball Coaches Association for LHSAA (2015-2017), she is a member of LAPHERD, she is a Certified Archery Instructor, a member of US Tennis Association, IMPACC certified, and a member of LHSAA coaching association.  Madeline plans to not only bring a “work- hard” attitude to Episcopal but also develop a sense of pride and personal accomplishment through her leadership and experience.  Go Knights!
