BACHELOR'S IN MOLECULAR CELL BIOLOGY: UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA, BERKELEY Shyamala Alapati is passionate about science and technology, having graduated with a degree in molecular cell biology from the University of California, Berkeley. She joined Episcopal in 2017 as an eighth grade science teacher after serving many years as a substitute teacher, a Parent Guild volunteer and an Episcopal parent. Shyamala began her career in dermatology research at the University of California, San Francisco and pharmacology research at Rush Medical College. After having her three children, science education became a priority. Now, she is dedicated to preparing her students for high school and instilling the framework for a deeper comprehension and passion for science. |
