Episcopal's Mu Alpha Theta Team Takes 2nd in Division I

On Saturday, January 29th Episcopal placed 2nd in Division 1 at the Baton Rouge High Mu Alpha Theta math tournament. The tournament was attended by 221 students from 14 schools. Episcopal brought 41 students that competed in subjects from Algebra 1 to Calculus BC.

Sixth graders tackled a previous challenge posed by Future Problem Solving Program International. Students were given a futuristic scenario involving a corporate giant that dominates the fish hatchery industry in the year 2065. After considering the situation, these future leaders identified potential problems and solutions and presented their findings in skits.
