Cross Country
The Episcopal runners continue their quest for excellence this season. The girls earned first and the boys secured second in the West Feliciana Relays. On September 14th, Episcopal hosted the 46th Annual Round Table Run. Nearly 40 schools from across Louisiana were in attendance, and several middle schools from across the area competed in the junior high race. Freshman Ada Mere led the girls team with an individual 4th place finish, and the boys squad finished in 4th overall. Several Middle Schoolers also placed in the top 20 at the Round Table Run. In addition, the Middle School team celebrated a boys top finish and a girls second place finish at the recent Highland Road Hustle. Earlier this season, both the boys and girls finished third at the West Feliciana Relays. The girls team is currently ranked #2 in the state in small schools and the boys are currently in 1st place! Freshman Neva Lambert is a finalist for the MileSplit LA Girls’ Performer of the Week! The winner of the weekly poll moves on for consideration for the Girls’ XC Runner of the Year.

The team was comprised of Brady Foret, Ben Badeaux, and Ben Gautreaux The tournament included teams from across the country, and Episcopal’s team is excited to add the first banner to the esports lab. In the inaugural tournament for the Capital Area Esports League (CAEL), sophomore Daniel Lindsey took 1st place. In the second CAEL tournament, the Episcopal Rocket League team beat Central High School, who had previously bested them in the first tournament.
Football
Despite the area’s early weather delays and field shuffling, the Knights are having a tremendous season. The team put up big numbers versus Country Day, Northlake Christian and Slaughter Charter. The Knights also earned the Homecoming win versus East Feliciana and victories versus Baker and St. Michael. In addition, running back Reid Chauvin will play in the 2024 Gridiron Football All-American Bowl, and Nathan Sanchez was nominated for TheAdvocate.com’s Player of the Week honors.
