A Look at 2022 Baccalaureate and Commencement
May 18th, 2022
The 2022 Baccalaureate and Commencement ceremonies returned to the more traditional manner after several years of pandemic adjustments. Members of the Class of 2022 celebrated the milestones surrounded by family, friends and special guests. The Rt. Rev’d Morris K. Thompson, Jr. presided over this year’s occasion, along with Senior Chaplain the Rev. Kirkland “Skully” Knight. Head of School Dr. Carrie Steakley offered words of encouragement, and numerous members of the Board of Trustees were present.
Meghan O’Leary ’03 provided the Commencement address. O’Leary is a 2016 and 2020 Olympian and two-time World Championship rower. She is also an athlete activist, entrepreneur and advocate for women in sports and equality.
Valedictorian Arya Patel and Salutatorian Justin Dynes shared their thoughts on the Episcopal experience and the journey ahead for this year’s class.
Congratulations to the Episcopal graduates of 2022. UKNIGHTED Forever!
