Middle School Parent Newsletter | September 5, 2025

September 5th, 2025 by Anne Dalton

I want to take a moment to highlight the importance of school spirit and the incredible community we have at our school. Starting with today’s White Out, each theme day is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate and recognize the unique contributions of every member of our community - from our youngest PK3 students to our high school seniors.

These dress-up days, including Americana, Minion Day, and homecoming, give us a chance to have fun and show our pride. But let’s remember that every day is an opportunity to celebrate our wins and our efforts, whether on the field, stage, court, or in the classroom. Every achievement, no matter how big or small, deserves recognition.

School spirit goes beyond just wearing themed outfits. It’s about fostering a sense of belonging and support for one another. Let's encourage our children to cheer each other on, celebrate each other's successes, and appreciate the hard work that goes into every endeavor. Our community thrives when we lift each other up, so let’s make it a priority to appreciate each other not just on theme days, but every day. Together, we can create an environment where everyone feels valued and celebrated!

Please make sure you have read the Mo-Ranch communication sent in July. This trip is a fantastic opportunity for students to bond, learn, and create lasting memories. ATTENDANCE:

Please remember that all absences must be reported through PowerSchool.

Looking ahead into the semester, please also know that we will be emphasizing our attendance policy this year; students who miss more than four sessions of any one class will be required to make up the minutes.  This is to comply with Louisiana state law.  You may hear this policy referred to as “No More Than Four” and, while there are some exceptions for school-sanctioned absences and for unavoidable absences (hospitalizations, natural disasters, etc), both reported and unreported absences count towards this limit. For more information, please refer to the handbook.
