Swimming

The Episcopal Swim Team encourages well-rounded development of all four competitive strokes, a servant-leader mentality, and academic achievement.  The coaching staff strives to encourage a healthy lifestyle and a love of competitive swimming, a lifetime sport. The team competes locally in the Capital City Swim League and in Division III at the LHSAA State Meet. Both the girls and boys teams have earned state championships.

Head Coach

Matt Kiggans made a splash in his first season as Head Swim Coach with a team state runner-up appearance.   Previously, Coach Kiggans served as the Head Coach at The Runnels School for six seasons.  Additionally, Coach Kiggans has been a swim instructor and coach with Tiger Aquatics, the YMCA, and Southern Oaks Swim Club.  As a former swimmer himself, his primary competition was in the 100M butterfly and the 200M individual medley.  When not coaching Matt works at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana as a Health Informatics Analyst and resides in Baton Rouge with his wife and 4 children.
